The History

The singing bowls used at Vibrations for Living are commonly referred to as “Himalayan or Tibetan Singing Bowls”, and can be found throughout Nepal and other parts of Asia. Martyn Church is an Atma Buti® Sound Healing certified practitioner who studied under master teacher Suren Shrestha. The Atma Buti® method was brought to the US by Suren Shrestha and evolves from Nepalese tradition, thus the bowls he uses are most often of Himalayan origin.

The ancient craft of forging Tibetan/Himalayan singing bowls has been passed down from generation to generation. The bowls used at Vibrations for Living are hand crafted in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal by local artisans, who are working to revive the ancient techniques used to make the bowls. Some of these artisans belong to family clans can be traced back to the time of Buddha.

The magical bowls used at Vibrations for Living are forged from a special blend of 7 metals including: gold, silver, iron, mercury, tin, copper and lead. Each sacred metal corresponds to the 7 chakras of our body and the 7 creative planets. The bowls are also tuned to 7 chakra specific notes which in turn work together creating incredible sound and vibration for the body, mind and soul.
